参观博物馆 Visiting a Museum

On a Saturday afternoon our Chinese History teacher took us to visit a museum.

在一个星期六的下午，我们的历史老师领我们参观博物馆。

The exhibition hall was decorated in an antique mode. Charts and pictures were hung on the walls. Many ancient utensils weapons and arms robes crowns coins or naments books and farm tools as well as recently unearthed relics were exhibited. Each dynasty was presented in a separated room along with written and pictorial descriptions. Our teacber now served as the narrator giving us a detailed lecture on the development of Chinese history and elucidated his new viewpoint on how to divide Chinese history into different stages.

展览大厅装点古朴。墙上挂着图表，画片。许多古代的用具、武器、官服、王冠、钱币、装饰品、书籍、农具以及最近出土的文物都展览在那里。每一个朝代都分室展出并有文字和图片说明。这时我们的老师做讲解员，给我们详细地讲述了中国历史发展的进程，阐明了他自己关于中国历史如何断代的新观点。

We were happy to have such a vivid lesson one that made us not only review what we had learnt in class but also feel proud of our motherland's great and glorious historical culture of more than five thousand years.

我们都为上了这么一堂生动的课而感到高兴，这堂课不仅使我们复习了我们在课堂上学过的东西，也使我们为我们祖国五千多年伟大、光荣的历史文化而感到骄傲。

博物馆免费开放 Free Admission to Museum

In recent years the increasing number of museums in our country is allowed to visit for free. This phenomenon has aroused a heated discussion around all over the country and the advocates and the opponents have both given strong arguments concerning it.

近年来，我国的博物馆数量的增加可以让大家免费参观。这一现象引起了全国各地热烈的讨论，支持者和反对者都给予了有力的论据。

On the one hand those who have already benefited from practicing it sing highly praise of it. They claim that allowing people to come to and visit museums is a good way to know our national history and spread and inherit our national culture. People who have access to get into museums will have more chance to know and understand our own culture and history better. In addition they point out that it is an important and a good way of national education. Through visiting museums students can be cultivated to treat things objectively and roundly especially for historical matters. What’s more visiting museum especially historical museums is a good choice to development the proud and honor of our nation.

另一方面，那些受益于它的人表示了高度的赞扬。他们声称，让人们来参观博物馆是让大家了解我们民族的历史和传承民族文化的一个很好的方式。那些进入博物馆的人会有更多的机会更好的了解我们自己的文化和历史。此外，他们指出，这对于全民教育是一个重要的好方法。通过参观博物馆，可以培养学生对事物的客观、全面认识，尤其是对历史问题。更重要的是，参观博物馆，特别是历史博物馆，是发扬我国民族的骄傲和荣誉的一个很好的选择。

However on the other hand some opponents argue that the museum itself and its treasures will suffer from destroy and even loss if a large number of people are allowed to come to and visit museum at the same time. And they also figure out that if there is no necessary and enough instructions and education free admission to museum will not have an obvious impact on instructing and educating.

然而，另一方面，一些反对者认为，如果允许大量的人同时参观博物馆的话，博物馆本身和它的价值会遭受破坏甚至丧失。他们还指出，如果没有足够的指导和教育，免费进入博物馆将不会有明显的对指导和教育影响。

I would have to say that free admission to museum is a progressive measure to spread our history and culture but meanwhile we have to consider and avoid the troubles it will bring to.

我不得不说，免费参观博物馆是一个渐进的措施来推广我们的历史和文化，但同时，我们必须要考虑避免会带来的烦恼。

开设博物馆是否浪费？ Is it a Waste to Have Museum?

Every country has a lot of museums filling of great cultural heritage. Some people are beneficial from it but it costs lots of money at the same time. And now we are living in a world that calls for thrift. So some people regard opening museum as a waste of money. They don’t want to give hands for supporting museum. However there are another part of people stand on the side of museum including me. My reasons are as follow.

每个国家都有很多充满着文化遗产的博物馆。有一部分人从中获益匪浅，但是博物馆同时也花费很多钱。而我们现在所居住的世界提倡的是节约。所以有些人认为开设博物馆就是浪费金钱。他们并不支持开设博物馆。然而，还有另外一部分人是站在博物馆这一边的，包括我在内。理由如下。

First of all museum is a good way to help people know more about the history. Every museum will try its best to collect as much historical things as possible which are full of cultural value. When people are visiting museums they will have the chance to see the historical resources. Maybe those resources are far away from their life but they can have a general knowledge about them instead of knowing nothing. Can you find another good way to replace museum to reach the goal? The answer is no.

首先，博物馆是帮助人们认识历史的好途径。每个博物馆都会尽他们最大的努力来收集历史事物。这些东西都是充满文化价值的。在人们参观博物馆时，他们可以有看到历史资源的机会。也许这些资源离他们的生活很远，但是他们可以对它们有个整体了解，而不是一无所知。你还能找到可以代替博物馆而达到这个目标的方法吗？答案是不能。

In addition museum is helpful for new progress. We all know that our world is a union not isolation. If we want any progress we had better start on the base of the past generation wisdom. We can get a lot of benefit from the resources in museum. Without them we couldn’t walk so far or so long.

再者，博物馆有助于新进步。我们都知道我们生活在一个集体中，而不是孤立存在的。如果我们想要有任何的进步，我们最好是以前人的智慧为基矗我们可以从博物馆的资源中获益匪浅。没有它们，我们无法走得那么远，那么久。

Museum is a valuable resource for our human beings. It is a gift for us. It is worth spending money on it. How could it be a waste?

对于我们来说博物馆是很有价值的资源，是礼物。它值得我们为它花钱。这怎么会是浪费呢？
